Will Unlocked ever open up to straight communities?
Unlocked will assess the possibility of extending its services to the straight communities following the initial launch, taking into account user feedback and platform reception. In consideration of safety concerns, Unlocked may opt to create separate applications tailored for different communities or strive to inclusively accommodate all users within the initial application framework.
Why is the app running very slow?
No need to fret! There may be a few reasons:
1. There may be too much data stored from previous app updates. To clear your data and re-login, tap and hold the app icon on your device, go to Site Settings, and select Reset Permissions and Clear/Delete Data.
2. Check your data/Wi-Fi signal.
3. When in a populated area with many members the Nearby, Global and Search grids may take extra time to load.
4. Battery Saver Mode on your device can affect performance.
5. The Unlocked Team is hard at work publishing an update. Unlike traditional app updates that require manual installation from the app store, our updates happen seamlessly and automatically. Just give it a few minutes, close the app, and then reopen it. You'll be up and running with the latest improvements in no time!
Why are there no labels and descriptions?
At Unlocked, we are dedicated to fostering a judgment-free environment for our community members. However, we have observed that on various platforms, user profiles often contain labels and descriptions that inadvertently contribute to division within the community. This may include preferences for specific body types such as "twinks" or "bears," or stating the types of individuals they are not interested in.
We firmly believe that meaningful connections can be established based solely on stats, and sexual preferences. As such, we encourage our users to focus on these aspects when seeking potential matches, rather than relying on labels or exclusions.
By removing such divisive elements from user profiles, we aim to create a more inclusive and welcoming space where all individuals feel valued and accepted for who they are.
How much does it cost to list my business on Unlocked?
It costs $20 CAD for a lifetime listing on our platform! Providing an affording solution to reach your niche audience. All proceeds go to supporting the platform and help cover technical costs.
What's the story behind Unlocked?
Unlocked emerged as a solution for users seeking to explore their hidden fetishes without feeling left in the dark. Existing apps often overlook various fetishes and kinks prevalent in different communities, presenting a homogenized experience. Unlocked breaks this mold as the first LGBT+ fetish app to bridge all tiers of businesses and offer a platform for adult industries to engage with the user base. With a multitude of filters available, users can easily discover their next event, outfit, toy, and more!
Fun fact: Unlocked made its first debut in London, UK! Our posters were prominently displayed in Clone Zone in Soho, King Arms on Poland Street, and the Duke of Wellington.
Why were the colours orange and blue chosen?
The colors were selected to offer a distinctive UI, setting us apart from typical dating apps. The chosen shades of orange and blue pay homage to the old hanky code, where orange indicated "Anything anytime" and blue indicated one's preferred position as "Top or Bottom." Ideal for a fetish app, wouldn't you agree?
Does this app cost anything?
The app is free for kinksters and fetish users, with premium search options available. Business users can sign up for a business listing for as low as $5 CAD/month (taxes and terms and conditions apply). Users can also watch an ad to temporarily access premium features.
